This is an ointment or a cream having a base of antibacterial antibiotic called clindamycin. It is a drug used for the treatments of skin disease and is applied externally to get the results. This is classified in topical acne agents and vaginal anti-effectives. It is a very good broad spectrum antibiotic used for the cure of ache of the face, head and rest of the body that includes the back of a person as well. It can cure both gram positive and gram negative bacterial effectively and rapidly without taking any other antibiotic or any other anti inflammatory drug for the same reason.
It is used for a cure of acne and all its type including Acne vulgaris, as acne are produced due to oily skin and infection is caused due to dust and other particles as oil providing ideal medium for the culture of bacteria which are present on the skin or in the air causing the acne disease. The other disease it is used for treatment is vaginal infections caused by the bacteria. These infections are usually caused by lack of good cleanliness and warm weathers where people are living. These conditions giving ideally good environment for bacteria to grow, and this is the place where you can’t expose to air to make it dry and make the place not suitable for growing bacteria.

- One of the most dangerous effects is very severe redness and itching on the skin surface it is being used.
- There can be a diarrhea, particularly watery one mixed with streaks if blood in it.
- Mild burning and itching of skin it is used on for treatment.
- Swellings on face, lips, tongue and eye brackets.
- Having allergic reactions and productions of hives.
- Patient can feel difficulty in breathing.
These were some important symptoms which are associated with this drug also known as clindamycin side effects; however it is not a complete list of the side effects which can cause problems to the patients using this drug.
If you are using ointment or gel for the treatment you should apply it on the area twice a day and if you are using foam as the medium f treatment, use it once a day. If you are using it as a treatment for vaginosis, you should use it with the concentration of 2% 5 mg once a day. Insert the medicine in the vagina to get best result as the affected area is inside walls of vagina. And the best time of doing it is a bedtime. It should be continued from five days to seven days depending about the advice of doctor and severity of disease you are having. It can be administered with the other drugs to enhance the effectiveness of this antibiotic and get the treatment in best possible way.
